who has died
or been killed
unbeknownst
to you
you thought
she was alive
when she really
was dead

what is the word
for that?

irony? delusion?
false hope?
bad assumption?

i will coin a word for it

i will call it epoh

finding nothing 
in the places
where it hoped
to find places
of hope
not even sure
where the places
would have been
