Like Water
Like Water
by Kelp
When your mouth is rough or
Parched and dry, I will try
To quench you.
Wash away the stains of
The day, the sweat and pain
And cleanse you.
Changes of state may breed
Contempt or anger, I
Will cool you.
Or change my state and sate
Your need for warmth, and I
Will melt you.
To make you smile or laugh
A drip may help, or I
Can splash you.
If you cannot see, I
Will show you your face, and
Reflect you.
When you’re a container,
I will take on your shape.
And become you.
